Hi Support,
I have a windows service which at times may be needed to be updated through patches. How can you automatically stop the windows service before installing the patch?
Thanks
Rav

I am also getting this error regarding the windows service patching:
Product: EVA -- Error 1334. The file 'EVATra7e17cEVA.Transmit.' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'PCW_CAB_2220B857'. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

Dear Rav,
What is the connection between your InstallAware setup and the service? Does it install and run it?

I would advise clearing the %temp% folder and restarting the machine.
Other than that, you have no control over the patching code (its all handled by the InstallAware engine). Therefore, it is not possible to execute custom actions when patches are installed.
