Dear Didier44,

I am not sure why the version doesn't appear in the control panel (could be because you are using IA 7), but you can set it from your installer using the following registry locations:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library ... s.85).aspx
As per you second question, to run the update program you need to call the setup.exe with the /update flag - that will immediately commence an update.

Hello Giaviv and thank you for your quick answer
i'm not sure to understand how to enable the version number (according informations explained in your link)
For the second point i have tried $UNINSTALLINK$ /update and it runs but i 'm very surprised of the order of my run "programs" in the tun section

I have written
1°) $TAGETDIR$\myfirstprogram.exe
2°) $EXEFILE$ /updatesetup
3°) $ARGETDIR£\Mysecondprogram.bat
4°) $UNINSTALLINK$ /update

and program are executed in the following order
1°) $UNINSTALLINK$ /update
2°) $TAGETDIR$\mysecondprogram.bat
3°) $EXEFILE$ /updatesetup
4°) $ARGETDIR$\Myfirstprogram.exe

I 've tried to understand but i can't : when i'm looking in register database , i find the right version of my product under the name DisplayVersion
same thing for the Version, version Major and version Minor :
Display Version REG_SZ 3.7.0.0
Version REG_DWORD 0x03070000
VersionMajor REG_DWORD 0x00000003
VersionMinor REG_DWORD 0x00000007

......

all seems to be as a boolean value prevents to display version in the config Panel (program list) since my value are good and set : very strange no?

Indeed strange, perhaps it has to do with your machine? Try it on a different machine..

I am not sure I understand the second part - how are you executing these exactly?

thank you giaviv for your time spent to help me
for the order of programs i 've written these four lines (described in first pargraph) into the "Run Programs" subsection of the "Advanced Options" SECTION;
So thes program are executed after the main installation setup since i have set option "wait for end of program "

if you switch to the MSIcode tab and scroll to the end, you will see the actual calls to Run Program.
You can change the order of the calls to play with that.

I see. In that case, I am not sure that there is much to do to control the execution order of the programs. Try removing them from the list and adding them again in the right order.

Ok Giaviv
i'm not going to try this because I 'm sure that the last command i entered isn't the last executed one..... it's the first !!!!! ($UNINSTALLLINK$/ setup) : i think it is accordingly to group command perhaps $UNINSTALLINK$ before $EXENAME$ etc... and then perhaps entering order or alphabetical order i don't know

Thank again for your help
