Error during build - a possible solution

Hello everybody, I’ve spent one day trying to figure out a strange problem at the end of a single-file build, and want to share with you what worked for me.
What worked: DISABLE McAFEE Antivirus, the latest one (it comes with VMWare Fusion).
What didn’t work: reinstalling IA, reapplying license file, disk checking, changing project and build volumes. At a moment (probably after a McAFEE update) no project was building, not even the simplest wizard-created one.
