File Version Notes

Hello:
I thought someone else might benefit from my experience with the File Version meta data. The "VERSION" pre-defined variable (set in the "Product Version" field of the Project Properties - either hard coded or by use of a compiler variable) can only be numbers and periods. So if you are attempting to fill in this field by passing a compiler variable from the command line do not use letters. Also, it seems that Windows limits the version to 4 digits, so if you have more than 4 digits within your version string Windows only will display 4.
