Hi

I am a new user of InstallAware and we are starting using this tool for building our setups from now of.
I have some small problems that I can not find out of. In Wise that we use before, I can run Wise in command and make the build of setups silent. I can also use a text file where I put in som runtime variables like version number, product name etc. I will to this in IA too, but can not find the place to do this. It's important for us to do this, because we in a pilot period make a new setup 2-3 times every week. I have a batch file to do this, and this batch fil also copy the files for the installation and this is very effectively and save me for lot of time.

I hope somebody can tell me how to do this i IA.

Jan, you can indeed do the builds from a batch file and the command line. Look for the miabuild utility. You can pass compiler variable values which will help you to change what gets compiled into your setups. Open a DOS command prompt, type miabuild without parameters and you'll get a detailed help listing.
