Restart PC after .net framework install

Our app requires .net framework 4.0 as a pre-req before installing our application. So once setup installs .net framework 4.0 it must reboot the machine as Windows requirement. The problem with restart is that on WIN XP when PC reboots then setup starts immediately (on start-up)and looks like windows is not able to establish network connectivity at that time. This is a problem for us because we cannot support/help user with remote desktop as network connectivity is not there. Please let us know how to overcome this issue.

Hi,

This is actually a Windows trait - IA only sets the RunOnce registry key, which is a feature allowing you to run an executable once after a reboot.
