Revision codes not working right?

I have an InstallAware project in which I have checked the box in Project Options to "change revision code automatically upon rebuild". So I build a Web Deploy and install it. Everything looks good so far. So now I build another Web Deploy and install that one. Everything still looks good, IA recognizes that NEEDSUPGRADE is true and goes through with the prerequisites (since I built again I have different revision codes).

So here is my problem, I have an automated process to build these Web Deploys for me (using the command line). For some reason, even though I pass random and different revision codes to the installer.mpr, IA does not seem to recognize that NEEDSUPGRADE is true, and instead goes into the MAINTENANCE check.

Does anyone know if I am missing something obvious? Why does it work for me when I do it manually but not when I automate it?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like the revision codes just aren't being packaged correctly? Is there a way to follow this variable in building the packages?

Dear User,

are you using the miabuild with "new revision code" command line switch?

as for example:
miabuild myproject.mpr /r

Let me know

Regards

Thanks for your quick response! I'm not using that switch. I will try it out and see how that goes, thank you so much :)
