I'd like to know if there is a limitation for patching my projects
What i have done:
I have a basic project and since long time i do patches of my apllication with success ; I use always same procedure to make patches (i have done 5 patches ) :I copy my directory and add a new patch by setting reference to the previous Setup
Now I try with always the same procedure toi add a new patch and here , patching fails with the next error

Creating patch C:\Installation\InstallAware\Formation\Formation_5\3821\Patch\Aeroproduct (Formation).msp
Error during build: Unable to create patch database [This patch contains multiple transform sets and is a mixture of QFE, minor, and/or major patches.]

I have to add that i have only modified the exe file in my project (as i do always)

To understand and to find what is wrong i have removed my 6th path and open the 5th version and i have in this project modified the exe file in order to point to exe file of 6th veresion and in this case patch succeeds . so i think error doesn't come from my new exe file but there is a limitation to the number of patch authorized (5?) . Am I right ?

the error should come up from msimsp.exe and not from InstallAware itself.

For what I know, there isn't a limit for the maximum number of patches tha can be realized.

If I'm not wrong, one time I faced a similar problem and was caused by, if I remember correctly, the product version that was not the same over all patches.

Can you check if this could be possible with your case too?

Have you changed also the exe file version property (... with your compiler) ?
