[DONE]If registry entry exist don't install add. software
Posted: Tue Jun 05, 2012 2:14 am
Hey all,
After my installation finished (before the finish dialog) I'm starting to install additional software.
This software creates a registry entry. Now after i deinstalled my programm this additional software will be still installed, because it's used by many other applications.
Now I want to know how to check this registry entry. And if it exist I don't want that this setup of the additional software starts.
I hope you get my point. How can i do this?
I found a function named "Check registry" in some other threads, but i don't know how to handle it with my "problem".
Thanks in advance!
Greetings
Feyh
Edit:
I did it by myself now.
My solution:
I used "Check Registry" to check the registry if that software is already installed. After that i checked my variable, which was filled by "Check Registry" if it contains "NO$". If it contains "NO$" i start the installation, otherwise i don't.
Greetings

Code: Select all
Check Registry Key {MyKey} into REGKEYEXISTS
if Variable REGKEYEXISTS Contains NO$
Run Programm {MyProgram}
End
