InstallAware

Hello ,

I am trying to make install packages that it also receive application updates. So I do that by checking the "receive application updates" in project properties.
But after I make the install(single file) using this, the built package when it runs ...during the extraction time fires an run time error.

Error says : "Runtime error in install : Cannnot open file "c:\users\...\appdata\local\temp\mia4\update_notify_download.dfm". the system can not find the file specified. "

if I uncheck "receive application updates" and re-build the package, the package works fine with no runtime during extraction.

Any idea how I can solve this issue?

for what I see ... seems that a required dialog file ("update_notify_download.dfm") is not available.
But it is very very strange... because if it is not available with your project, you should not be able to built the package too.

Please verify that all the files required by your project are available.
If you still have problem, post to me you project (including all used files) ... otherwise, try to replicate the issue with a very basic project and post it to me.

Yeah you are right... I can build the package fine...but the file is missing from it.

Can you please provide me with a the email address that I can send my project to? Do I need to provide any company detail (like license info)?

The problem has been fixed with InstallAware NX 14.11.

The license generator is now serving 14.11 licenses and just reinstalling a license will be sufficient to fix the problem, since it is only an IDE issue.

Anyway, the full InstallAware downloadable package is also available on our server.

Thanks FrancescoT, the issue was resolved by upgrading the NX IDE with the new build download from your website !
