Build fails after upgrade

After upgrading to the latest version, InstallAware NX, when I try to build my project I get this error message:

Warning!
No files matching wildcard pattern
c:\PROGRA~2\INSTAL~2\INSTAL~1\runtimes\sqlcompactsp2bin\*.*

Then the build ends with the message

Error during build: Failed to compile plug in action: File bag

The following file does exist.
Program Files (x86)\InstallAware\InstallAware NX\runtimes\sqlcompactsp2bin\SSCERuntime_x86.enu

Is it possible that INSTAL~1 is still pointing to the folder InstallAware 2012?

How do I change this?

Thank you.

Dear User,

if exist a possible error with the path which your installation is pointing to, this can be easly verified by checking the value of the PATH system environment variable. This should contains the actual NX installation directory.

By the way, I suppose the error is caused by the msi file which your script points to:

You have:
"Program Files (x86)\InstallAware\InstallAware NX\runtimes\sqlcompactsp2bin\SSCERuntime_x86.enu"

instead should be:
"Program Files (x86)\InstallAware\InstallAware NX\runtimes\sqlcompactsp2bin\SSCERuntime_x86-enu.msi".

Can you verify it with your runtime installation script and where the following code line should be present?
Install/Remove MSI Package $SQL35SP2FILES$\SSCERuntime_x86-enu.msi[ADDLOCAL=ALL] (get result into variable SQL35SP2)

Let me know.

Regards

My path is

C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallAware\InstallAware NX

I'm sorry, I left out the file extention. The file is

"Program Files (x86)\InstallAware\InstallAware NX\runtimes\sqlcompactsp2bin\SSCERuntime_x86-enu.msi".

The run time installation scrip has this line in it

InstallAware Clipboard Data~
~(Un)Install MSI Setup~
~{8690B89E-CFEE-4D12-BF94-CAB4F148789B}~
~ADDLOCAL=ALL,FALSE,,TRUE,$SQL35SP2FILES$\SSCERuntime_x86-enu.msi,,SQL35SP2,SQL35SP2ERR,FALSE~
~mMSI.dll\mMSIExec.dll~

Dear User,

I suspect that probably some IA features are not actually installed with your environment.

have you verified that the "Program Files (x86)\InstallAware\InstallAware NX\runtimes\sqlcompactsp2bin" path with its contents exist under your InstallAware installation folder?

Could you verify if all features are really installed, running the IA installation package once again?

Francesco, this is intresting. I reinstalled InstallAware NX. Ran it and was able to build my project fine.

I then ran IA Somnetics International.exe to install the liscence. Loaded InstallAware and tried to build my project,

Warning!
No files matching wildcard pattern
c:\PROGRA~2\INSTAL~2\INSTAL~1\runtimes\sqlcompactsp2bin\*.*

So it seems I'm fine running as a trial customer, but something breaks when I try to install my liscense.

Now what?

Have you regenerated your license file?

Are you using the NX version currently available?

I downloaded the install file early this month. I tried to download a newer version but your server is like molasses.

I did not know I had to regenerate the license file. How do I do that?

Dear User,

to regenerate your license file use your ID & Password to login to your personal account at:
http://www.installaware.com/myinstallaware

Please note. Make a backup copy of your personal license file along with the IA full installer (single file with runtime).
Otherwise once your Customer Account expires, you will not be able to re-install your product unless you have previously made backups.

That seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks for your help.

If I might make a suggestion, it would be helpful to post a reminder to regenerate the license on the final screen when the installer finishes up.
