The press release for InstallAware 16 says:

>>- Dependency Free: Support all 32 bit and 64 bit Windows versions beginning with Windows XP out of the box.

Does this mean installations made by InstallAware 16 will no longer run on earlier operating systems?

Dear Bob,

Yes it is, due the fact that earlier operating systems don't fully support UNICODE.

Bother. Oh well, that'll save us some money renewing our license then, until all our customers have disposed of their Windows 2000 computers (which incidentally, our own unicode programs run fine on).
