Dear Ruben,
This problem doesn't reproduce in later versions of InstallAware. Are you able to test that on your end by testing the trial version of 12?

Ok, but with the frameworks of the version 12 did not work properly (which we talked about in the first posts). Be installing version 12 and will copy the runtimes that I downloaded from the forum.
Thanks you.
Rubén.

Hello, We will take a while to buy the version 12 and wanted to know if you think of anything else to run the installer to reboot.
Thank you.
Rubén.

Ruben,
Perhaps try to manually create the registry entries for RunOnce using InstallAware.

Hello,
Finally I could buy InstallAware 12. By adding the runtimes Framework 4 x86, Framework 4 Client x86, Framework 4 x64 and Framework 4 Client x64 and generate the following error:
Error during build: Failed to compile plug-in action: File Bag
Thanks.
Rubén.

Is there any more information in the error message?

Did you do a full installation of InstallAware?

yes, the Studio version. Also, I see the files "mFileBagEXE.dll" and "mFileBagIDE.dll" in the path "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ InstallAware \ InstallAware 12 \ Plug-Ins \ File Bag".

If I create a new setup and add the runtimes does work correctly, but if I use a setup made Install Aware 8 and open it with Install Aware 12 appears this error.

Yes that makes sense because your IA 8 project is looking for runtime files in the wrong folders.
Uncheck and recheck the runtimes you have selected and you should be all set!

I did what I put and still had the same problem, so I decided to start the setup from 0. I added the runtimes generated only and without any problems. I have added files, registry keys, etc.. and I get the following error:
DIALOG DISPLAY Than other statements not allowed inside WIZARD LOOP. I have seen that within the LOOP is a Compiler Variable BUILDMODE if not equals PATCH. I've removed from the LOOP and it works but this has always been that way and do not know if I will cause a problem. I do not understand.
On the other hand, add the following code to install x86 or x64, depending on the operating system:
if Variable IS64 Equals TRUE
Include Script: checkvc10_x64
else
Include Script: checkvc10_x86
end
This generates the following error me:
Can not be nested LABEL statements inside loops / conditionals. This error leads me to the script tag checkvc10_x64 VC10_X64 Parse. I have not touched any of that script!
I've solved them as follows:
If Variable IS64 Equals TRUE
GoTo Label: IS64
else
GoTo Label: IS86
end
label: IS64
Include Script: checkvc10_x64
GoTo Label: continue
label: IS86
Include Script: checkvc10_x86
label: continue
After solving these problems, generated the setup and I am again with this surprise:
Error during build: Failed to compile plug-in action: File Bag
I'm desperate!!!

Apparently, to generate the runtime setup Framework 4 generates a tree of subfolders and Windows can not with a big branch. In Build Settings was set as output directory to be generated in a directory with a long name. Even putting it shorter also failed. I changed the "Build in custom folder" to "Build in project folder". In this way I work properly.
Thanks.
