We must copy one licence file to the destination directory which is not included in the install package because it is individual. How to? "Copy Local Files" does not work.

I would also like to know a good way to do this. Don't have the time or experience at this point to creat a plugin to handle it. I need a way to copy multiple files from a CD to the local machine. I know this is a Windows Installer limitation, but would be a great addition to IA.

Use call dll.

Here is an example;
~InstallAware Clipboard Data~
~Call DLL Function~
~{89412589-2864-4C5B-B221-63150F855CE7}~
~kernel32.dll,CopyFile,bool,LASTERROR,"pointer to string",$TARGETDIR$\\MDDMBackup,"pointer to string",$TARGETDIR$\\MDDM,$~
~mIDEFunc.dll\\mEXEFunc.dll~

In Engrish;

Call DLL Function kernel32.dll->CopyFile (get result into variable LASTERROR)

Cant get it to work on win203

Can get the DLL call to work on windows 2003 - Error messages come up saying I need to install the plugin - I call the dll after the apply install.

What I need to do is to create a copy of a file that is installed.. I know I can include the file twice and just install both, but that would bloat my setup-file - are there any other ways?

Thanks

Bo

ADDED:
Exact error message is
Unable to load plug-in library. Please rebuild your project and make sure all required plug-ins are installed.

Action skipped

ADDED.
Heres the offending command
~InstallAware Clipboard Data~
~Call DLL Function~
~{E4E9FE45-CDED-447C-BA1C-8DC27369C406}~
~$WINSYSDIR$\\kernel32.dll,CopyFile,bool,LASTERROR,"pointer to string",$TARGETDIR$\\DAT\\dnmc.dai,"pointer to string",$TARGETDIR$\\DAT\\emptydnmc.dai,$~
~~mIDEFunc.dll\\mEXEFunc.dll~ ~
