Are compiler variables allowed for paths to web media blocks

My download URLs contain a compiler variable that is the version number (incl. dots).
I can download the files over the web without problems, but from within the setup
I get a dialog that the download broke up and whether to resume are retry. None of these
options work, though, and the same dialog appears again and again.

I took into consideration case-sensitivity but that's obviously not enough.

Any ideas?
Thank you.

Please give us an example. Let us know how you are defining and using the compiler variables, and if possible a way to recreate the problem.

The compiler variable is defined in InstallAware Project Settings | Compiler variables.
E.g. build_version = 3.5.03.

The web media path is like
http://www.domain.com/packages/productn ... ckage.7zip

The setup is created manually or eventually via a FinalBuilder run were the actual version
is given in the parameter list.

This issue is solved. The value that was assigned to build_version in
FinalBuilder was composed from three variables for major, minor and release,
where release had a leading zero. That zero got dropped and never reached
the setup script.

Thanks for your support.
