Channg "Product Version" at compile Time..

Hi;

I'm using a .bat file miabuild.exe in order to dynamically compile a project, I'm using some "compiler variables" that give me some control about how the project gets compiled and they are working fine.

What I want to do now it's to change the "Product Version" at compile time, I thought that defining a compiler variable, let's say "MY_VER" and passing the value thru my .BAT (miabuild PATH_TO_PROJECT\Project.mpr MY_VER=1.5) I'll be able to catch that on code and do something like "SET VARIABLE VERSION TO MY_VER" o perhaps "SET VARIABLE VERSION TO #MY_VER#" neither of the options worked and the version of the file keeps the value that's defined on the GUI (Project Settings -> Product Version).

Does any knows if I can change Product versin thru miabuild???

Regards,

Enrique

Dear ecarbone,

In order to dynamically set the product version at compile time try and set the VERSION variable to #BUILDVERSION# in the MSI code.

You can refer to this thread for more information:

Does not work.

#BUILDVERSION# and $BUILDVERSION$ is always empty (testet with Messagebox)
