Hi,
i'm try to create a Plugin for our installer with delphi.
It all works but there is a problem with the runtime calls to the dll

Code: Select all

function RunTimeExecute(Window: THandle; Variables, State: PInstallChar; Progress: TPlugProgressIndicator; var Return: Integer;
  NewVariables: PInstallChar): Integer; stdcall; export;
the param Window is always 0 on every call to the function
the dokumentation says it is the Handle to parent setup window
i really need to show a window for some special selection for our setup and without a proper parent handle these is a problem

please check

greetings from germany

Dear Friedrich,

I have been looking at this - please note that unless a dialog is shown, there is no parent setup windows, thus the handle would be NULL. When you show a non-modal dialog and then call a plug-in, that handle does indeed get the value of the window handle.
Does that help?
