Dialog Countdown Timer - exits after 5 min if no action

Hi, our company purchased 4 Studio licenses and our team (all new to IA) is currently trying to create a dialog that will exit after a preset time (example: 5 minutes) if an end user does not click on the RUN/Install button. Reason is because we want these dialogs to exit or self-terminate if there are no users around to click the RUN button. This was possible using a custom billboard in our previous Wise Scripting Editor which we been using for last 8-10 years.
Management team insists we inform users when particular program installs (like IE8, Java 1.6, etc...) are done. If the user is not there, the dialog must close itself and be presented a few hours later. We've been using this deployment method for years with SMS/SCCM and Wise Scripter custom dialog using a Kernel32.dll call to sleep or countdown from 5 minutes, then terminate/exit if no one is around. Of course, on some installs, we force or silently push the app without user intervention.
Can you provide any assistance or tips please?
Btw, I've looked into "Object Rules and "Object Behavior" and using $Progress$ but could not get something to work properly.
