I have just installed ia11 studio version with everything.

I create a new .net template which I see adds the x86 runtimes for the .net4 framework for both client and the full framework and also adds the windows installer 3.1

If I try to build this without adding anything I get an error message

---------------------------
Script Load Error
---------------------------
This script uses a plug-in that is not available on your system:
Windows Installer

Please install this plug-in before opening this script. Closing project now.

To install plug-ins:

1. Open the Control Panel "Add-Remove Programs" applet,
2. Choose the "Change" option for InstallAware,
3. Select "Add or Remove Features" and install missing plug-ins.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Then a 2nd message
---------------------------
untitled - InstallAware Studio
---------------------------
Unable to find saved script context for
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

I have checked the features installed and everything is installed.

What is going on?

Hi,

It seems like InstallAware didn't properly install on your machine - please completely remove it and install it again.

Haha yes that sorted it.

Slight concern when you have to reinstall a piece of packaging software due to failing to install correctly.......heres hoping my software doesnt have the same problem.

Hahaha ironic, I agree, but this is likely stemmed from a current state of your machine rather than a faulty installer..
