Win 7 x64 Uninstallation issue with VC++10 runtime

We have an installation package which includes the Visual C++ 10 Runtime Redistributable. Our application is an x86 application, but we can run on x64 machines. For that reason, we only check the box that does not say [x64].
Our application installs and uninstalls from Windows XP 32-bit and Windows 7 32-bit without issues. However, we encounter an issue when we try to uninstall from a Windows 7 64 bit- machine in the following situation:
1. Install application on a clean machine without the VC++ 10 Runtime. InstallAware prompts to install the VC++ 10 Runtime package.
2. Finish installing the software.
3. In Add/Remove Programs, select the software package and start to uninstall.
4. While uninstalling, click ‘Cancel’.
5. Select the software package again, and start to uninstall again.
6. A dialog appears stating that the VC++ 10 Runtime needs to be configured. If you click Next, an error appears stating that it cannot find the installation source.
We do not expect the VC++ 10 Runtime to be considered while uninstalling, especially since it installed successfully when the software was installed.
Could anyone please provide some input as to how we can prevent this error from occurring?
Thanks!
