With InstallAware 12 and an installer where uninstallation has previously been working, when attempting to uninstall my product via the Uninstall link in the Start menu, or via the Programs and Features control panel, I get a message:
"Please locate your original setup sources to continue operation".
This is clearly not a general problem in InstallAware12. My guess is that I have unintentionally changed a setting in the installer, or a recent change I have made has triggered this.
It's not a web-based installer. Uninstallation occurs correctly if I re-run the original installer and select the "Uninstall" radio button. In the project settings I have "Always cache setup sources" checked in the Build settings. The installer executable is over 1.3GB (I have been asked to have compression turned off); maybe Windows has a limit to the size of the installer it will cache?
Thank you for any suggestions. Meanwhile I'll try duplicating and simplifying the installer.
(I posted this yesterday, and have re-posted today as it did not appear in the topics list.)

Re: Uninstall, Please locate your original...
Dear Nick,
Please check if "Always Cache Setup Sources" flag under Build Settings in Design View, it is filled or checked.
"This three-state check-box lets you control setup source caching. When the box is filled, the default source caching option (as described above for each build type) is in effect. When cleared, setup sources are never cached. When checked, setup sources are always cached."
Please refer to IA documentation for more detailed information.
Hope this helps you.

Re: Uninstall, Please locate your original...
Thank-you Francesco. I had not appreciated that this is a three-state checkbox. I had it filled, not checked, and will try with it checked. There's a chance I previously had it checked and changed it to filled.
Re: Uninstall, Please locate your original...
Yes, that was it. Thanks again Francesco.
["Always cache setup sources" must be checked and not just filled, for sources to be cashed for compressed single self-installing .exe installers.]
