Re: Installaware - Multi vs. X16
I am sure this has more to do with our communication skills than your visual acuity. Install Aware for Windows Installer , at version X16 , internal compiler version number 33.x , is our Windows-only product - with all the benefits (and drawbacks) that entails. Install Aware Multi Platform , now lau...

Re: X2 and Merge Modules
Please explicitly add a compiler variable to your project: NO_MSI and set it to FALSE. This will fix your issue immediately, and in the next InstallAware X2 patch, the issue will be addressed natively without needing this workaround.

Re: IA NX - Compiler vars and commandline not working
I'm happy to confirm that the fix has already been posted to the license generator! The full trial installers are also uploading and should be available before the end of the day (RTM date August 24th, as opposed to the current RTM of August 19th). A Big Thanks to our very active community who found...

Re: VS2010 SP1 doesn't start after installing InstallAware!!
I apologize for Aviv's misleading reply here. We fully support VS 2010 SP1 used in conjunction with Install Aware and it works here on our local systems perfectly. There's nothing implicating the Install Aware add-in in the snippet you have pasted. However, it may be an incompatibility between anoth...

Re: Legacy InstallAware Installers can be found here!
Please be advised that you must have a license installer that is exactly synchronized in its version with the trial downloads provided on this page. Using different versions of license installers and trial downloads can wreak havoc with the IDE and the setup engine, which is why Install Aware cannot...

Re: Windows Eventlog Error on TFS Server
I'd like to clarify a few things here: Install Aware does officially support TFS server , so if you have any kind of issue at all, please report it and have it escalated to R&D . In this context however, it appears that a driver is being installed - I would suggest checking your script to see wh...

Re: Installing 'over' existing installation.
I also wanted to clarify here that while you could comment out the old version removal and force an install on top of an older version with the MSI engine, this will wreak havoc with the MSI registry entries used by MSI internally for book-keeping, and will have the net result of leaving everything ...

Re: How do I collect installation data and send it to web se
Hey, sorry about this - I apologize for Aviv's incorrect answer here. You actually can submit information directly from your setup, this is one of our core benefits (gather and collect business intelligence directly from your setup wizards). Maybe you have noticed that we do this ourselves in the In...
