Re: Has been happening since IA 10, Dialog shows up white
So this is happening when Windows is using visual themes/ styling. If I turn off AERO themes etc. it will not have this refresh issue.

Thanks Francesco,
It's mind boggling as to why this is happening.

Re: Has been happening since IA 10, Dialog shows up white
Thanks, I've sent you an email with a project, the dialogs. I have tried turning Glass off, I've tried removing that background image and it still happens. I've seen this (as well as customers) on Windows 7/ Windows 8... To fix the issue as it occurs you literally drag the installer off/ then back o...

Has been happening since IA 10, Dialog shows up white
Hello, Why would this be happening!?! When you proceed with installation, occasionally a screen shows up white (all objects are not displayed.) When I click previous to go back to the Choose Folder Dialog I see the following (attached). If I drag the window off and off the screen it refreshes. This ...

Re: Shortcut-Option "Run as Administrator" does not work !!
With the InstallAware auto-update functionality and patch support, why isn't there an easy way to get incremental upgrades with InstallAware? 14.00 -> 14.02 took some time and now I have to do a full update/ install from 14.02 to 14.03. Any chance you can release and UPDATE for this InstallAware ver...

Re: IA NX - Compiler vars and commandline not working
Thanks,
Downloading the fix now.
To AVOID issues like this, maybe InstallAware would benefit from public Beta releases (to select developers) sort of what Flexera does for InstallAnywhere.

Re: IA NX - Compiler vars and commandline not working
The issue doesn't seem to just affect output files.
After kitting with NX the display of $VERSION$ resolved to #VERSION#.
In NX I had to SET VARIABLE VERSION TO #VERSION# for it to show correctly.
In 2012, IA 2012 seemed to handle this internally.

Re: Japanese text problem
Thanks Francesco, Doesn't having to create Dialogs for each character set that share common strings defeat the purpose of localization? The ideal solution would be to have a single set of dialogs where the character set used depends on the default OS char set... InstallAnywhere for example, wouldn't...

Re: Japanese text problem
The problem was due to the fact the dialogs don't automatically use the default system character set, but are FORCED to use a specified character set. Shouldn't IA detect what OS locale the installer is run against and handle character sets dynamically? One thing I noticed is that the drop down list...
