Change the strings in the translations files.

Under InstallAware Tools select InstallAware Translator.

Administrator Rights are not always the same same being a Domain Administrator. Users that are domain administrators may have certain Security Restrictions as well that prevent them from listing, viewing, etc. Active Directory objects. This is not an issue with IA, I would check with your System Adm...

You have "\configuration\connectionStrings" try removing the firs backslash so it reads "configuration\connectionStrings"

Direct Deploy

I am using the default direct deploy script.

1. Should the Run Remote Program command WAIT for finish to return a result? It is not doing this in my environment.

2. How can the Temporary admin share/folder be deleted and cleaned up after installation on a remote system?

The editfile plugin only works on files that are already present on the target system, so, if you need to edit a file that you are installing the editfile plugin must be placed after the apply install command.

AND

Read from Text File $SUPPORTDIR$\\installer_data.txt into Variable ServiceName is only used at RUNTIME, Install Files command is used during COMPILE to package the file so it has to find it to package it and SUPPORTDIR is only available at RUNTIME.

SUPPORTDIR is a RUNTIME variable!

This variable is not available at COMPILE time.

Support files are temporary files meant to be used during INSTALLATION at RUNTIME.
