And let me add, your persistence in pursuing this problem is greatly appreciated.
Everything else about your product blows me away! I've tried several, and yours is clearly the best.
.net 1.1 won't detect upgrade to 1.1 SP1
This is a bona fide bug! The product team is thanking you for catching it - apparently the production code that went in had a couple of missing options.
They will have a new build ready shortly!
I would also like to thank you for being so diligent with this - you helped us improve both our algorithm and its implementation

SUCCESS!
Detected and installed, once I rebuilt the web blocks.
One small question: during the .net install on the prerequisite progress screen, it seems to sit doing nothing for about 2-3min after download and unpack, somewhere in the middle of the install.
Any idea what would cause this, or a way to display some sort of progress text during this period? It looks like the installer hangs to the user, as there is no visual feedback. It eventually perks up and finishes the .net install, but it just looks a little weird.

Wonderful
Success at last
The progress is normal - those messages are fed directly by Windows Installer. I'd recommend switching to one of the Attractive, Emerald, or Titanium themes if this is a concern - they have small animated boxes just like in Windows XP / Windows 2003 setup, so the user will not think the setup has hung.
Real glad we're finally rolling here
