Hi Technical Support,
We've come across a problem with trying to get our application to install on a native Japanese XP PC. We get the "Error: The folder path '??' contains an invalid character.' I've checked the profiles directory and there isn't an illegal character. I've also set CodePage to 65001 and that doesn't seem to help either.
Do you have any suggestions?

Francesco,
For this project I am using IA9.. a bit out of date I know. If you know for certain that upgrading will fix it, then I would be more than happy to do so.

Re: Japenese XP installation
... of course the problem you are having it could be caused because you are using an ANSI IA Version.
Anyway you can run a simple test quickly, recompile your project using the latest IA 18 trial (IA 18 supports UNICODE).
I am quite sure you'll not have anymore that problem.
NOTE!
Make a backup copy of all your project files before to use them with IA 18.
