Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Vs.dll

Postby Pmambo » Sat Jun 21, 2014 9:44 am

Dear,

I am testing Installaware Express, before purchasing the license. I wonder if anyone has already encountered this problem, and can suggest a solution. I am building my application setup and continuously encounter this error:

"Error during build: Cannot open file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\VBPowerPacks\v10.0\Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Vs.dll". The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process"

I am using Visual Studio 2010 and C#. In my Visual Studio, I also have InstallShield plug-in , as well as Installaware.

See in attachment the setup log file.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Patrick M.

Dear Pmambo,

Did you verify if any other process is using your DLL when IA tries to build your package?

Did you try to manually copy that file under a different folder?
