I've getting the following error during the building process:
I originally made a request for help on this post: http://www.installaware.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9469&start=15, for which i received the below answer. Although I believe that the guys asking for support on the other discussion is very similar to what I'm facing, ie: "no matching wildcard patter", except that theirs is cause when the installer runs and mine when building the installer. In light of this, I posted my original question there. However as requested, I have started a new discussion.
what you are reporting has nothing to do with this discussion (the posts will be removed!).
The discussion refers to a possible issue when IA is NOT INSTALLED on the system drive and for what I see it's not your case.
Btw, you may have also altered your default "Automatic Short File Name" setting, if you followed the steps reported by the link.
At your convenience, please start another discussion.
Did you check if the required MS SQL 2014 Runtime package is effectively available under "%ProgramFiles%\InstallAware X\runtimes\en_sql_server_2014_express_x86_and_x64_exe_3941421"?
Please also check if you are able to reproduce the same issue with creating a new project from scratch, just create the project (without defining any other setting), then add MS SQL 2014 runtimes. If possible, please also test with adding a different application Runtime.
Ok, so I've ensure that the Runtime package is available. I've started a new project. Added all the required runtimes as well as setup my features and files. Sadly, I still get the same error when building the installer.
Just in case there is interest, below are is the runtime that is giving the issue:
Also note that I can confirm that the file permissions for the folder is the same as say selecting SQL 2012. I have also tried swapping out SQL 2014 runtime with SQL 2012 runtime, which when built, builds just fine.
At this point, I'm not sure what else I can do. Some help would be greatly appreciated!
