Hi,
I would like to evaluate InstallAware as the sole installer solution for my company, however I am not able to install the product on my machine.
I have downloaded both the Web Based installer as well as the Single File version.
I am running Windows 10 (see attachment "System Info").
Both are failing to install in the same exact manner as shown below:
1) Run the Installer (as Administrator) and got the set of dialogs.
2) Selected each default in each dialog
3) Reached the dialog where the installation actually starts. (see attachment "Final Dialog")
4) After a second or two, the dialog closes and the program seems to end. When checking Task Manager, I could not locate any process that seemed to be hung that belonged to.
5) Rebooted PC
6) After logging in to my account, a dialog asking me if I wanted to install the product showed up. (see attachment "After Reboot").
(continued in next post)
InstallAware not installing - "mia.dll was not found"
Re: InstallAware not installing - "mia.dll was not found"
7) After selecting "Yes" in the dialog in step 6, an error message was shown reporting "myahew.exe - System Error" and the text of the message was "The code execution cannot proceed because mia.lib was not found...." (see attachment "Error Message")
Note that this is the first time I have ever tried to install InstallAware.
Please advise!
Thank you in advance,
Josh

Hi Francesco,
Yes, the company has Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security software running on all desktops.
I can get my IT to disable it and try to install again.

Re: InstallAware not installing - "mia.dll was not found"
Dear Josh,
as already discussed many other times on our forum ...
...most AV's today are a cure worse than the disease. Commercial AVs should be never installed on development machines or production systems. There are other alternatives that can be used in place of commercial AVs... for example; Microsoft Essentials which is also free.
AV applications are just applications at the end. These are not the keepers of the truth or the Bible. As any other application they can have problems or they may not work as expected.
You may try to temporarily disable your AV and then to repeat a full installation from scratch. However, many AVs are very intrusive and it may be possible that this will be not enough.
Hope this helps you.

Re: InstallAware not installing - "mia.dll was not found"
Hi Francesco,
Disabling the AV did the trick. I was able to install the product without any issues.
I now have some questions regarding a support install project that I need to create, I'll create a new thread for that.
This thread can be closed as resolved.
Thanks!
