Form settings issue - X6

I have a finish form that has a couple of check boxes on it. I have added a new check box to it, and have set the default checked status to true. I save and test in the editor, and the checkbox works as it should. When I run my installer, the checkbox never shows that it is checked by default. It always appears as unchecked.

Can you tell me where I should be looking to troubleshoot this? There seems to be more logic going on it the form than the logic that is visible or accessible in the designer.
