I'm using X8 (7.21.2018) at the moment and have a problem where if I install my app version 1.0 while logged on as AdminUserA the app is visible as expected in the Windows Control Panel App list. If I install app vesion 2.0 it uninstalls 1.0 and upgrades it to 2.0 just fine.
However, if I then log off and log on as AdminUserB after installing my app version 1.0 I don't see an entry in the Windows Control Panel App list for 1.0. Worse still, when I install my app version 2.0 it doesn't even detect that 1.0 was installed to do the removal during the upgrade; it just installs over the top. Now both user profiles show my app in the Windows Control Panel App list, but AdminUserA still shows version 1.0 whereas AdminUserB shows version 2.0
Anybody have any idea how to fix this?

I've got similar issues. It seems even worse when you install as an MSI vs an EXE.

Re: Installing new version as a different user
Did you install "for all users" (ALLUSERS=TRUE) on both user accounts?
Do you have any chance to list the exact steps you did when installing your packages on the respective user accounts?
