Can't install Installaware X2

I want to use miabuild.exe on our Jenkins machine, but it won't install (I'm running Windows 7 Professional SP1)
When I double-click InstallAware_X2_With_Runtimes.exe, it'll show the password dialog. Type in the correct password and the unpacking stage begins.
When that reaches the end all the dialog disappears and nothing happens.
I've double checked that I'm running as administrator, but no avail. Check the disk for errors, none where found.

If I try to install (same executable) on my developer machine (also running Windows 7 Professional SP1) it installs like clockwork.
I get no feedback as why it doesn't do anything.

One point of concern: I'm using a remote desktop connection to the Jenkins machine, might that be an issue?

Any thoughts?

Dear Frank,

unfortunately I do not know so much about Jenkins. It's sure that I never had any problem to install IA remotely and/or on a Virtual Box as VMware or Hyper-v.

Leave out the 'Jenkins-part', it's merely the fact that the installer for X2 doesn't work.
It's unpacking (that is the first step right?) until the progress bar is full and then stops (no dialogs, no process in the taskmanager, nothing...).

I've ran checkdisk to confirm that it's not data corruption that prevents the installation, but that's all I can think of.
Is there any way a installer logs problems during this (first) stage of installation? And where would this information go?
Since it's not an MSI, I can't switch on MSI-logging to help to determine the root-cause.

I've found the problem. The amount of space left on the C: was not enough to be able to decompress everything.
Unpacked the installer is a whopping 16+ Gb and my C: drive had 14 of those left.

Cleaning the drive and moving the page file to another drive did the trick.
But it would have been nice if this simple fact was pointed out to me by the installer itself.
