Startup error with Installaware Studio

All of a sudden this evening I started to get the attached error (image1) when starting Installaware.

I tried rebooting and even tried opening a Installaware SAMPLE projects... all showing the same error. I also created a new project via the project wizard and the results are odd as shown in image2. The text font has changed and NO DIALOGS are evident.. just comments where the references to dialogs used to be.

I tried a repair of Installaware and that did NOT work... as I still get the same error. I am wondering if I need to uninstall the whole thing. wipe the PC of all traces (registry, etc.) and reinstall installaware.

HELP!

This is a very frustrating. I am new at this and developed many scripts and cannot lose time or work.

Dear George,

for what I see and for what you tell me, your product installation looks like as corrupted.
It's difficult to figure how this happened from here ... unless something "strange" occurred to your system.

By the way, you didn't tell so much about your system. Are you using a virtual box?

Hi,

No.. this is not a virtual box. It is my main development PC which is a Windows 7-64 system.

I started to see some strange behavior while using the software.... I think the last thing I did was replaced a logo on a dialog box. So I closed the program and tried to reopen and got the error. After that I recovered all of my project from a prior backup taken several hours ago (when all was well)... and still got the error.

Thats when I suspected something bigger was going on since it was no longer related to my project.... i.e. sample project and new projects were also messed up.

Do you recommend a complete uninstall/reinstall at this point. I am concerned that there may be some "control" files that are not part of the uninstall that will still be there even after an uninstall/reinstall.
