Hi,
Is there a way to set a file attribute to Read-only when using Installaware script and Native engine only. I have tried to use the check box in install file for read only and that doesn't work.
I tried to change the native engine to false and use apply install. This would work, BUT it will create a Entry for add remove program. We don't want to have that, since this installer is just dropping some files for a previous installed application so we don't need extra entry for Add/Remove program.
Can you please advise if there is any other way, apart from using cmd?
Thank you in advance.

Dear Aziaaddini,
many thanks for reporting this. Unfortunately, for now I can only confirm the issue ... by the way, this seems to be a "reappearing" problem.
Currently as "workaround", I can suggest you to follow the approach described with the following link.

Hope this helps you.

Dear Aziaaddini,
you only need to install the latest IA X6 version (v.23.07 - it requires a new re-generated personal license to activate the product).
However, you need to have a valid IA X6 license.
Hope this helps you.
