Build Type Compressed, mM7zEx.exe - Application Error

Using InstallAware Studio Admin X9 on Windows 10 Enterprise, using Build Settings, Build Type of "Uncompressed Directory Layout" builds fine (for DVD distribution). But, when I attempt to use Build Type "Compressed Single Self-Installing EXE", during build progress getting this error:

"mM7zEx.exe - Application Error"
"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022). Click OK to close the application."

Last few lines of InstallAware Studio Admin Build progress dialog show:
Storing support file: mMSIExec.dll (79%)
Injected runtime files
Error during build: Unable to build setup files: IPC failure

I've tried to set output to 2 different locations, including my local hard disk. Support forum search for mM7zEx.exe comes up empty. Perhaps a security / permissions issue, anti-virus block...?
