Dear InstallAware team,
InstallAware is really a great product and it provides everything I need, except one thing other installer have and I did not get it work as I would like to have.
It is
Browse for folder to select the start menu folder as shown in the attached image (a screen shot from another installer).
It is very useful because, I'm having lots of programs installed and want to have my start menu organized into folders and subfolders. Sometimes I don't know by name of all programs immediately. So typing in the search field is a bit random.
I've started a custom dialog in the past, but I didn't get it complete.
If you have a really detailed instruction how to do this, or if you could probably add this feature in one of your next versions, would be really great.
Thank you very much in advance.
best regards,
Stefan

Re: Browse for folder to select start menu folder
I don't see where is the problem.
You may use the "Browse for Folder" command in your script to select any kind of directory.
Attached you find a small sample project. This demonstrates how to allow the selection of a secondary target directory during the setup wizard.
For sure you may use a similar approach to browse for "the start menu folder".
Hope this helps you.
