Setting msm Merge Module Properties

I am a beginner using Windows Installer and InstallAware so excuse me if my question is an easy one.

I am trying to include a third party .msm file into my InstallAware project. I've included the msm package using the Add Merge Module feature of Install Aware. But I also need to set some properties of the merge module. The setup needs to be able to pass this variable information to the merge modules. This process is to be handled through Windows Installer Public Properties. So, to dynamically set the properties of this merge module I think I'd need to call the function MsiSetProperty.

Do I use the Install/Uninstals MSI Setup function of InstallAware? Or is there some other way to set the properties of this msm file? How exactly would I do it?
