Hi
I am putting a license.rtf file in InstallAware that has links. The links appear as blue and look like hyperlinks but they are not clickable. Is there a way to make these work so that when the user click on the link it will open the link in the browser?
License RTF with links
Re: License RTF with links
The best advise is to convert your license.rtf to html, rename it to index.htm and use an html control. If you're not using an edition of InsatallAware that allows dialog editing, you may want to just include the paths to the links in your document.
Otherwise, you can try to find a program that allows you to place hyperlinks into a rich text file. I did a quick google search and it looks like you could write a program to display links in a rich text field, so there may be one that exists to allow them to be edited in to a document.
I would just use html myself.

Re: License RTF with links
Thanks for replying back. I use Word to edit the RTF links but they still don't work. Do you suggest I use a different program to edit links in the RTF? If anything I use HTML.
Re: License RTF with links
I am trying to change to an index.htm but I got stucked. I am using index.htm already to show an image according to the language stored. Now I cannot use the index.htm again to display the license in a different form. Again the License is going to be shown differently for different languages. Any idea how I can go around this issue in InstallAware?
Re: License RTF with links
Yes, you can add multiple htm files. As you need each one, you will need to copy/rename (move) it to index.htm for the time you want that htm file to be used.
We do have a feature request to associate a specific htm file with each individual html control, so this behavior should be easier to accomplish in the future.

Unfortunately, this is not possible with RTF files.
