How: Include files of a directory, filtered, recursive

Situation here.

I am making a smal lsetup for our internal build system. Packing up some open source software that has no setup (Nant) plus some files we utilize.

The files we add are in one directory. I do NOT want to maintain them in the setup - basically I do not care in the setup what they are, I want the whole directory, with all sub-directories, to be included. To give you an exmaple, in our Nant installaion we install in a directory standard .build files for Nant. The guy developing the Nant files is free to just add them. Or, another example: we want to publish source code for our examples. While it is ok to set up every example manually (as it should be a feature, so it needs manual work), inclusing the source files manually is tendious and unnecessary. In this case, also inclusion should include sub-directores but filter out certain things /bin, /obj etc.).

Is there any mechanism to get a dynamically linked folders working, such as in Wise or Installshield. Well, actually better - their way to define what goes in and what does not always was very - äh - limited.

Hi Thona,

You can always use wildcards in source path specifications.

Beginning with InstallAware v5.01, you may also use exclusion filters in your setups. This did have a couple of issues in v5.01 but they have been resolved in the latest v5.1.
