Relative patch not working

Postby icaronz » Sun Nov 03, 2013 3:41 pm

I can't make the relative pathwork in Installaware studio NX

I set the files as ..\..\bin\TVDAvalancheProxy.exe

and when I compile I get the message

Error during build: No files matching pattern "C:\Source\ava\Development\AvalancheInstall\bin\TVDAvalancheProxy.exe"

The compiler for some reason still try to use the absolute path.

What I did, I add the file normally, double click on it and change the path.

Any ideas?! I'm very late in the project as I already had to restart this installation because the last version wasn't working :/

Best regards,

Dear User,

If you are using a relative path to specify the "Source Files" parameter of an Install Files command ... honestly, I don't know.

I use relative paths only with that command and never had a problem.

I can only suggest to verify the relative path you entered.

NOTE!
the relative path entered is alway resolved to its full path by the compiler ... this is not an error:
