Issue from IA 2012 to IA18

Hello ,

I upgrade IA2012 to IA18.

Facing some problem frequently.

1. Some time shortcut icon and tooltip on shortcut not display.

2. Sometime after installation not able to registry entry.

3. After installation when click on update uninstall shortcut it not show browse file window. That means it is not able to store all files related to installation\uninstall.

4. After installation when click on control Panel uninstall then it show message ”file is not exist click to delete shortcut”. That means it is not able to store all files related to uninstall.

5. When I installing my product then starting screen (verifying content, and preparing installation screen) installaware text display. How to I change this installaware text.
I attach both the screen image .Please find the attachment.

Please provide me solution as soon as possible

Dear Raul,

honestly, I really believe there are some problems with the way you are doing.

... try to replicate those "possible" issues with a sample or with a reduced version of your real project and I'll try to verify it.

Otherwise it is impossible to give you any help.

i have solved the 5th number issue.

But first four still randomly generated.

Dear Raul,

Unfortunately, the project you posted is not testable.
You should include all the files required by the project otherwise we are not able to build it and consequently, we can't test it.

In addition, to verify an issue we need to receive a detailed description on how the error can be replicated.
As you can easily understand, if you only report as possible information to replicate; "Sometime after installation not able to registry entry" ...
... How can we able to replicate the circumstances that "maybe" caused the issue you are reporting?

Anyway, I realized a sample test project that demonstrates;
- How to remove un-wanted application entry in Add/Remove program list in control panel ( ... after product removal from control panel).
- Shortcut creation and tooltip.
- Registry key creation.

The attached sample is ready to use and doesn't require any additional action ... just build it.
