Hello,
I am reviewing InstallAware and have used PackageAware to record my VB6 Package and Deployment Wizard-created setup program. I had it listen on a bare Windows 2000 Pro machine. I excluded the VB 6 runtime and MDAC in the legacy setup knowing that those are runtime options I can include with InstallAware. So all looks good except I see that setup1.exe and st6unst.exe were recorded as files to install to the Windows directory and vb6stkit.dll to install to the WinSys directory. Are these files needed since I assume that InstallAware has its own install and uninstall instructions?
Thanks for the help.
Jim
What to do with the Setup1.exe, st6unst.exe and vb6stkit.dll

The capture process may pick up files that are not needed. You can remove them if they are not part of your application. This is safe to do and of course the right thing to do.
