I read somewhere about problems with relative pathnames, perhaps something on the lines that you can't use them? Then again, and not for the first time, will I misunderstand something but I've encountered a legal usage of relative pathnames in IA.
My attached screenshot shows a capture from my Design window. Also, here's the code I have in the MSI window:
Install Files ..\\Read me.doc to $TARGETDIR$
[DEFINE WEB MEDIA Program]
Get Component Program Selection State into Variable SELECTED
if Variable SELECTED Equals TRUE
Install Files ..\\bin\\Debug\\CheckConverterServiceStatus.exe.config to $TARGETDIR$
Install Files ..\\bin\\Debug\\CheckConverterServiceStatus.exe to $TARGETDIR$
end
I changed the drive letter and pathname to relative using .. which works. I'm not completely surprised but is there another type of relative pathname that is a problem in IA, or at least not supported yet that I'm failing to grasp?
When I build my project it finds the files and there are no build errors and it installs successfully. So, what is the problem with relative whatever-it-is that I'm not seeing? Maybe there is no problem but maybe someone can clarify it for me.
