Creating themes.

Post by bokkie »

I've created a theme for my company, nothing snazyz, but functional. I used one corporate logo on the various dialogs and all works ok. I've been asked to use a different logo which is based on a 640x480 image. I opened the bitmap and I can use Snagit to lasso and copy a fixed region. The thing I'm not sure about is what the image size should be to make it compatible with the IA dialogs and there are different widths reported in the dialog properties.

For example, the Height of each dialog is 388 and the Width is 503.

There are also properties for a ClientHeight of 360 and a ClientWidth of 497.

When I capture the new logo for the dialogs should I capture 388 x 503 or 360 x 497?

I have a feeling you might have figured it out, but you'll want to use the client Height/Width values, as they represent the "work space" within the dialog, excluding the borders and title. I think a picture is most suitable in case anyone else wonders:

Thanks Andy. A picture is indeed worth 1000 proverbial words. :)
