Long time user of Installaware here, back before version 6. Upgraded to NX (Mooooya) this week and am running into a compile error on the script that was building fine on version 9R2. The error I get is :
"If conditional closed outside of If conditional scope"
Clicking Ok on the dialog drops me to a commented out line in MSI editor. That happens to be in my maintenance section but I do not see any obvious problems with the script. The script is about 3,000 lines long. I built a installer with version 9R2 right before I upgraded to NX so this is not a new script but one that I have built many, many installs with.
Did something change on the compiler in the latest version? Maybe enforcing a compiler check that it was not doing before?
What does that error mean exactly?
Thanks

Re: Script error after upgrading to NX
Dear User,
the error is caused by an incorrect IF END sequence.
For what I see, seems that an END statement has been found without refering to any valid IF.
Yes, with latest versions of InstallAware the compiler verification has been enforced.
