How to turn on repair?

Post by jbigbryw »

I'm evaluation InstallAware and when I setup a small test install using the Project Wizard, there is a Dialogs tab that asks if I willsh to allow a maintenance user interface and I checked this option no. I now wish to go back and change this to yes but I can't seem to find any way to do that. I'm going to guess it is something simple but I can't seem to find it.

Any help would be greatly apprecaited.

It all happens in your MSIcode. The easiest way would be to copy-paste some code from a project which does have Repair turned on. So you can create a new project with Repair, compare the differences in MSIcode, and then update the relevant area.

So it's not easy as I had hoped.

Ok. Thanks for the quick reply.

It is very easy. You just copy-paste the proper code.

So it's been two years since this was mentioned and the solution to the problem, "How do I turn on repair," is still to create a new project, go through the wizard, and copy the code from that new project?
