Installer gives invite to visit InstallAWARE site ... ?

Postby n4solutions » Fri Jan 27, 2006 7:39 am

The first time that one of our installers runs on a client system it popups up a dialog telling the user that the installer was built using InstallAWARE and asking them if they would they like to visit the InstallAWARE site.

Once a user has run an installer once it does not show this message every again.

Two questions:

1) WHY?
2) How do we turn it off?

1) Because you are running a trial InstallAWARE.
2) Buy a licence, or in case you already have it, install it. If you have updated InstallAWARE you would have to generate and install a new license.

Nope we're running fully licensed copies. Thou' your reply makes we wonder whether this is another problem manifesting itself because we're trying to automate the process (covered in another previous topic).

Can you please give us more information on the problem?
How do you automate the process?
Any sample scripts? You can send them to me at pkefal (at) installaware (dot) com so i can review them.
Please note that if you still have trouble or you don't know how to proceed, i can provide consulting services to you and help you create the automation for your setups!
Feel free to contact me!

Thanks for the offer but we've just resolved it. It was a problem related to who the CruiseControl.NET service was running as and where the license had been applied.
