Configure Service

This command sets advanced configuration parameters on a service.

Service Name

Enter the name of the service to configure here.

Configure When

Select the scheduling of the configuration task.

This field is ignored by the Native Engine, which immediately executes this command.

Configuration Type

Using the drop down list, choose the type of configuration to perform on the indicated service.

Configure As

Enter the new configuration desired for the service.

This field varies based on the type of configuration chosen above.

With the Windows Installer engine, variablized input into this field is not allowed. With the Native Engine, variables may be used where string input is available.
