InstallAware for Windows Installer

Build Settings (Deployment)

The Build Settings page allows you to set the default media type for your setup project, as well as specify a custom output folder, and a custom output filename.

InstallAware recommends that while testing and debugging your setups, you always use the Uncompressed Directory Layout option on this page. Compressed build types take a lot of time for processing, and cannot be debugged unless the Debug Build check-box is checked. Unless you are experiencing a problem which occurs only when running compressed setups, always build and debug your setups using the Uncompressed Directory Layout option. This will provide optimal build times and significantly accelerate your testing and debugging cycles. Once your setup has been fully tested and is working properly, you can switch to your actual deployment type(s).

You may also build your setup for more than one media at a time using the Batch Build option.
