InstallAware for Windows Installer

Play Sound

This command starts, stops, or loops a multimedia audio file on the target system.

This command is asynchronous (control returns to the setup script immediately, while the sound may continue to play the background).

Path

Type the full path of the multimedia audio file to play on the target system, typically with a WAV extension, exactly as it would be found on the target system.

You may click the Browse button to visually select the file from amongst those files you are installing, or have included with your installation.

You may also select a pre-defined system sound. Click the down arrow found on the combo box for this field to choose a pre-defined system sound to play. Your selected pre-defined system sound designator starting with the prefix System overrides a physical file path in place of a built-in system sound.

Play once

Plays the selected sound only once.

Play continuously

Plays the selected sound repeatedly, until cancelled or setup terminates, in an endless loop.

Stop playing

Stops playing a previously selected sound.
